Wonderboy is an annual pilgrimage for a select 24 guys. Over a weekend they compete in six events: tug-of-war, log saw, darts, ping pong, euchre & poker. The winner is declared Wonderboy, a title which is conferred for life.
The first Wonderboy was held in February 1999. Archivists have found little documentation of this event. The earliest preserved email about Wonderboy dates from 2002:

Hello Kids and potential competitors!
It is that time of year again - time to plan and prepare for the sacred event. By now, hopefully all returning know the routine. For those that can't remember because of age, alcohol intoxication, weak mental capacity or they are new to the event, I will go over it again. We hope to have a skating rink but the weather is not cooperating - too warm. I will keep you posted. The chairman of the WB committee (and WB2001) is working hard at some improvements.

WHO: A great group of guys minus the couple horse's asses. All those that thought the H.ASSes should not be invited back, please remember we need darkness to more fully appreciate the light.

There are many traditions and rituals associated with Wonderboy. There are opening ceremonies, which include the presentation of personalized stein to the previous year’s winner, and the drawing of the names for partners. During the weekend, the leader wears the prestigious yellow tie. There are strict rules about who serves beer, and who can ask to be served beer. The closing ceremonies include a round of Lève ton verre
